The Past with Dependent Time Clauses

زمن الماضي مع عبارات الوقت

We can talk about a past event using a time clause with when, as soon as, before, after, while, until, and since.

يمكننا التحدث عن حدث ماضي باستخدام عبارة زمنية مع :

 when, as soon as, before, after, while, until,  since

When the time clause comes before the main clause, use a comma between the two clauses.

عندما تأتي عبارة الوقت قبل العبارة الرئيسية ، استخدم فاصلة بين الجملتين.

When they arrived home, they discovered to their amazement that a meteorite had crashed through the roof.

عندما وصلوا إلى المنزل ، اكتشفوا لدهشتهم أن نيزك قد تحطم من خلال السقف.

Expressing Enthusiasm with Intensifiers and Adjectives

التعبير عن الحماس بـ(كلمات التشديد) والصفات

كلمات التشديد مثل:

very, really, quite, absolutely, really,quite 

Note مُلاحظة:
We can use really with both kinds of adjectives. It means a lot.
But when we use quite before a gradable adjective it means a little.
When we use quite before a non-gradable adjective, it means completely.

يمكننا استخدام really مع كلا النوعين من الصفات. تعني كثير a lot. 

لكن عندما نستخدم quite قبل صفة تدرجية فهذا يعني القليل  a little. 

عندما نستخدم quite قبل صفة غير قابلة للتدرج ، فهذا يعني تمامًا completely.
