Language
Thamarat, is my space to write what I learn in English language and trying
to teach others also.
Why
is it called "thamarat"?
Thamarat
is an Arabic word in plural form of the singular form "thamarah".
It
is said in the Holy Quran several times, for example in Surat Al-Baqarah
"the Heifer", in verse 22 :
( وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَكُمْ) ﴿٢٢ البقرة﴾
Which
means:
"And
sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruites for your sustenance;"
"thamarat"
means "fruit". Since knowledge is like fruits of mind, that's why I
called this websites, my
space, as "Language Thamarat".
We
pronounce "th" in thamarat "ث"as
in the word "thumbs".
